For a while I haven’t been feeling that well, coughing, sneezing and just generally feeling washed out.

I have limited my motorcycling as I don’t want to be a risk on the road. So yesterday I went to visit the doctor, had a few tests and it transpires that I have a diminished lung capacity! Less than 50%! Basically I have been living using one lung! I have been prescribed steroids, antibiotics and an inhaler. I hope they shift this crappiness.

When I had the accident all those years ago, apart from smashing my legs and cracking my skull, I broke all my ribs and damaged my lungs, so I know I have to be careful. But this is boring. I am sitting in my cabin, editing, listening to Eddie Vedder, Stereophonics and Frank Turner, looking at my Scout, wishing I was well enough to buzz the South Pembrokeshire coastline again with the cool evening breeze turning my nose cold, making my eyes water and making my heart sore.

This will all turn again I know, and I will be on the tarmac again, feeling loose and proper, creating pictures and feelings in my head which I will then share with you.

Promise.
