American Heartbeat

If you dig out your copy of the book, you will see a dedication from my buddy Dom who owns that great motorcycle accessory store Route 32 in New Hope, Pennsylvania.

If you then flip through to Chapter 8: Rock and Roll Rick, you can read about our adventures in St Louis, on that great trip we did in ’19, travelling down Route 66.

This poster I made is of the both of them – Rick in the top photo with the book open at his chapter. The bottom pic is Dom who I met back in ’18 when I visited the East Coast for a Springsteen gig.

So this is the original photo of Rick in his office in St Louis – you can tell it his office as it has a poster of Vladimir Tarasenko from the St Louis Blues ice hockey team on the wall behind him. Go Blues!

This is Dom of Route 32 Riding Gear in New Hope, Pennsylvania. The coolest guy from the coolest store in the coolest town on the East Coast of the US. I am trying to do a deal for him to stock and distribute my book in the US soon.

These are Jim Livingston’s feet! And cool feet they are too! They carry around one of the sweetest guys I know! Jim is famous for his online ‘I am Route 66’ photo exhibition, which he is trying to turn into a book soon. That will sit nicely on your book shelf next to Loose Gravel.

Jim also kindly did a dedication for my book.

That’s it.

Three legendary guys all of whom I am privileged to call friends, amigos. They really are the American Heartbeat.

Thank you for everything you have done for me guys. I look forward to seeing you all soon.
